Commemoration and Competition

Ilembe health district commemorated Chief Albert Luthuli’s passing

50 years ago. Zinhle Nyembe of the Luthuli Museum gave a lecture to the people attending about the life of Chief Albert Luthuli. At the same event, choirs of 3 hospitals from the Ilembe district namely Stanger hospital, Sundumbili hospital and Mphumulo hospital competed with each other. The categories were Western, African and Folklore. The winning choir will go to the provincial level to compete in Pietermaritzburg.

Radio Khwezi was also invited to record the songs and air them on the Ingcwenga programme.
