Launch of Dr. Bahle Zondo Foundation

Radio Khwezi witnessed the Launch of Dr. Bahle Zondo Foundation which was a great success.

The event took place on 25 August at Lewis Combined School Sports Field in Douglas, Msinga.

Named after its founder, Dr. Bahle Zondo, the aim of this foundation is to financially assist women of uMsinga area, to successfully run their co-ops that they have founded, and gain financial freedom.

On the day, this foundation gave away a sum of R1.2 million cheque to the owners of the co-ops.

The beneficiaries were happy to receive this funding- they described it as a life changing experience.

Attendees included the Department of Social Development of the Province KZN, Artists, motivational speakers and the community of uMsinga Area and surroundings, amongst others.

Radio Khwezi Journalist Thembokuhle Zulu attended this event and conducted various interviews. She then packaged a story that was aired during Ezasekuseni Current Affairs and Amabalengwe Current Affairs.
