. There they attended an event where the national parties signed the IEC code of conduct to participate in the local elections under the uMvoti Municipality.
At the Greytown Town Hall, where the meeting took place there were four parties and three independent Candidates that signed the pledge.
The Code of conduct states that and ensures that the elections are free and fair election. It enforces the parties to agree on running an election campaign that is fair on everyone as well as making sure that it is not violent in any nature. The parties also agree by signing the code of conduct that they will not run their campaigns in any illegal manner or in any way that violates or is in conjunction to the South African law, as well as the laws of the IEC.
