World Federation of Trade Unions WFTU Conference

On 5 October 2016 the president of Republic of South Africa,

President Jacob Zuma, officially opened the 17th World Federation of Trade Unions held in Durban at Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Centre ICC.

This Conference is attended by Unions from various countries including Asia, Europe, Brazil, USA, Zimbabwe, India and China. The aim of the conference is to discuss issues faced by workers in different work places. It is held every 5 years; this year it was hosted in South Africa and lasted for three days.
