Matric Results of 2016 for South Africa Announced

On 5 January the Kwa-Zulu Natal Department of basic Education

hosted a 2016 Matric results function where the Minister of Education Mr Mthandeni Dlungwane announced how the schools in KZN municipal districts did on their matric 2016 results.

The event was officially opened by the eThekwini mayor Cllr Zandile Gumede. The KZN Acting premier Mr Sihle Zikalala delivered a keynote address.

Even though the province is number 3 on the worst performing provinces the KZN department of basic education still celebrated the 7,6% increase of pass rates and the decrease of schools with 0-10% pass rate.

KZN Top students were also recognised and each received a certificate and a laptop.

Radio Khwezi was represented by Mzikayise Ndlovu, Mr. Blessing Sincuba and Sisanda Jele.
