Health Awareness Through Sports

Radio Khwezi attended the Ubuntu Initiative event

that was held at the eMnyameni sports field in KwaMaphumulo on Saturday 17 June. This event was a “health awareness through sports”-event where young people and community members that love sports were urged to test for different diseases. Health practitioners were also at the venue and test for HIV, Diabetes and TB were available there and then.

Prior to the actual event there was a fun-run from KwaMaphumulo municipality offices to the Mnyameni sports field.

Amongst the celebrities in attendance was Sello Maake ka-Ncube, a well-known TV actor, as well as the owner of the Jomo Cosmos Football Club, Mr Jomo Sono. He was also a great player in the 70s.
