Bongumusa Mthembu visiting Radio Khwezi

Radio Khwezi invited Multiple Comrades Marathon winner Bongumusa Mthembu

to bring him closer to the listeners. The 33 year old sports champion related how he was born and raised in Bulwer, KwaZulu-Natal, started off as a casual brick layer after school and now turned out to be an award winning top sports person. He has won the 86,73km long comrades marathon twice (2014 down run and 2017 up run) and last year in Los Alcazares, Spain, he ran the 100km World Championships and came second. The fascinating story of Bongumusa Mthembu can be listened to in our profile programme on well-known personalities from different spheres of life “Indlela Ibuzwa Kwabaphambili”, with Mzi Ndlovu, in isiZulu, on 5 August 2017 at 10:30.
