Womens' Day Celebration

The Office of the Premier of the Province KwaZulu-Natal held a National Women's Day Celebration on 9 August on Camper Down Primary School Sports Field,

in Mkhambathini Local Municipality, Ward 3.

Women came in numbers to celebrate their day. Attendees included, amongst others, the Premier of the Province KwaZulu-Natal Natal Mr. Willies Mchunu, the MEC for Arts, Culture, Sport and Recreation Mrs. Bongi Sithole-Moloi, MEC and Leader of Local Government Business Mr Sihle Zikalala and the Mayor of UMgungundlovu District Municipality, Cllr T.E. Maphumulo.

Radio Khwezi Journalists Mr. Blessing Sincuba, Thembokuhle Zulu and Nontokozo Lamula were there to cover the event. They held interviews with Government officials as well as members of the public.

Thembokuhle did a cross-over interview at 13:15 hrs. News editor Blessing Sincuba did an interview that was aired during Amabalengwe Current Affairs. Also, Thembokuhle did a package story for Ezasekuseni Current Affairs.
