SAARF RAMS 20 December 2012

On 22 November 2012 the Department of Correctional Service in KwaZulu Natal hosted an event of donating starter kits to some parolees in this province.  They also educated community members and officials about a Electronic Monitoring Project which works with a satellite to detect those that are serving their sentences out of correctional facilities. Dignitaries from the Correctional Service Head Office were also there as well as some religious leaders. Everybody was overjoyed because the department mentioned that by giving out these starter kits that include sewing machines and welding machines, they are giving parolees a chance to start their own businesses and to develop others as well.
