"Two In One" Choir Performance

Radio Khwezi was invited to record a performance

of the KwaZulu-Natal-Youth Choir and the KwaZulu-Natal Youth Midlands Choir in Wartburg on 26 May 2017. The KZN Youth Choir is celebrating 50 years of existence this year; the KZN Midlands Youth Choir 10 years. Musical director of the KZN Midlands Youth Choir, William Silk, said that his choir has already been in Argentina, Germany and the United Kingdom. He also explained that all songs performed that evening would also be part of their next choir competition which will be the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales from 3 – 9 July 2017. It will also be the 70th anniversary of this international musical eisteddfod. It is the oldest eisteddfod in the world, Silk said. The music of the Wartburg concert will be aired on Radio Khwezi as soon as the choirs will be back from their overseas trip.
