The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial EISTEDDFOD 2026 was a success

The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial EISTEDDFOD 2026 was a success, with the four-day event held at Bethsaida Ministries International in Phoenix, Durban.

This competition aims to boost the morale of all learners. Schools from districts across KwaZulu-Natal have been taking the stage together since the beginning of the week, representing both primary and secondary levels.

This wonderful event continued to thrive, reflecting the significant efforts of the teachers involved. This was further confirmed by the MEC of Education, Mr. Sipho Hlomuka, who attended the event on the fourth day. He was accompanied by his team, which included the head of the department, Mr. Nkosinathi Ngcobo, and the regional directors, including DDG Corporate Services Adv. Bheki Masuku. In his speech that day, Minister Hlomuka emphasized that this program is effectively fostering respect among students and promoting collaboration among schools engaged in music while also excelling in their academic pursuits.

He expressed his gratitude to the scholars for their ongoing efforts in elevating the province's reputation as they progress. He wished them success and encouraged them to aim for victory, with the goal of bringing back all the medals from Johannesburg. The Head of Department, Mr. Nkosinathi Ngcobo, also expressed his appreciation, recognizing the students for their determination and thanking the teachers for their dedication in developing the students since their initial practice sessions.

He also expressed his gratitude to the judges and all the program administrators, along with the team that organized the event under the leadership of Mr. Sibusiso Buthelezi. Radio Khwezi recorded all the performances and results, which will be aired this Saturday during the Ingcwenga show.
