Radio Khwezi participated in a workshop titled "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence in Language," organized by the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s University Language and Planning Development Office (ULPDO) in collaboration with the South African Centre for Digital Language Resources (SADiLaR).
The workshop provided participants with an overview of the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI), specifically emphasizing its application in language. The two-day program enabled participants to delve into the connection between language and technology, data management, available tools, machine translation, and the ethical implications of utilizing AI in translation and linguistic contexts.
The event was held at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, specifically at the Howard College Campus, Gate 08, in the UNITE Building, on October 14-15, 2025.
