AFRICA’S TRAVEL INDABA 2026

Africa’s Travel Indaba is a renowned African leisure trade show, owned by South African Tourism, aimed at creating market access for a diverse range of African leisure tourism products.

Africa’s Travel Indaba is a 4-day trade show that begins with a dedicated Business Opportunity Networking Day (BONDay). BONDay aims to create a platform for thought leadership, knowledge sharing, and access to the latest global trends and local insights. Global tourism organizations, continental experts, and industry associations collaborate to develop the BONDay program.

The trade show serves as an ideal platform for African tourism exhibitors to present their offerings to both international and local buyers, as well as destination marketing companies and partners in leisure tourism services. The platform is the most formidable on the continent for meeting face-to-face with the world's most influential buyers and gaining access to Africa’s excellence and its endless possibilities. These connections and business opportunities play a crucial role in shaping Africa’s future.

The trade show is held in KwaZulu–Natal, a province known for its warm and inviting coastline, friendly beaches, and safari parks. It features rolling green hills and extensive sugarcane and banana plantations.

KwaZulu-Natal boasts a rich history, featuring significant battlefields and the Nelson Mandela Capture Site, which are popular attractions for tourists. Additionally, the province is celebrated for its two World Heritage Sites: the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park and the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Area.

The City of Durban hosts Africa’s Travel Indaba, where delegates immersed themselves in vibrant spice markets and authentic Zulu culture. The lively cityscape also offers an active nightlife. The Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre serves as the world-class venue for the event, which started from May 11th to May 14th, 2026.
