Radio Khwezi, the bright morning star, is a daily companion to thousands of people and has been a beacon of hope to the hopeless for over 29 years since its establishment on 2 September 1995. The station develops and produces quality programming with sound values, aiming to educate, empower, and uplift the community.

Radio Khwezi broadcasts from two transmitters, Greytown 90.5 FM and Eshowe 107.7 FM, and online in 90% isiZulu, 5% English, and 5% German and is the biggest community radio station in KZN. And its broadcasting footprint covers the KwaZulu-Natal midlands and the north coast areas, and the station enjoys the support of various listeners—the vast majority of whom are from the rural, underdeveloped, underprivileged, and semi-urban communities.

The station has grown from its humble beginnings and has, over the years, been recognized as one of the largest and most respected community radio stations in South Africa. It has, over the years, gained recognition and has been honored with more than fifty awards and is the two-time Telkom Radio Awards (formerly known as SA Radio Awards) Community Radio Station of the Year (2013 and 2024).

Our programs focus on education, health, crime prevention, disability, and other issues that directly affect and are of interest to the community we serve. The station is sustained by a qualified and trained sales and marketing team that works hard to convert prospects into dependable clients.
